Nature and Extent of involvement of faculty and students in academic affairs/improvements

Chairman: The Chairman shall provide perspective plans for the growth of the college direction and strategies for implementation through

  • Financial planning and funding in the form of budget.
  • Ensuring the end results by periodical monitoring.
  • Coordinating all the policy matters and present it to the board for final approval
  • Be the Chairman of all the selection committees for selection of faculty and staff.

Correspondent: The Correspondent is second in hierarchy and works hand in hand with the Chairman on day to day basis to interface with

  • All the Central and State Government statutory bodies like AICTE, APSCHE, etc.
  • The affiliating university
  • Financial Institutions and Revenue department

Principal: is the academic and Administrative head for all day to day functioning of the College and the final authority to take decisions in all academic matters.  He is also the member secretary to the Board of Management. In general he is assisted by the HODs and other committees with specific tasks assigned to them.  He shall be responsible.

  • To prepare all the agenda items, co-ordinate the conduction of meetings, make the minutes and follow up all actions required.
  • To provide leadership, guidance, help in implementation and monitoring all the academic activities as prescribed by the Affiliating University.
  • To conduct periodical and final examinations.
  • To initiate all the developmental activities, monitor the progress and report to the Board of Management.
  • To take specific initiatives to achieve long term and short term goals of the college and monitor the activity.
  • To arrange and conduct the College Academic committee meeting once in a year and report to Board of Management.
  • To ensure and receive all departmental budgets in the prescribed form by 15th January every calendar year for the next academic year.  Prepare the institutional budget by the end of January for approval taking into consideration the central requirements and the requirements of various departments in the form of operational budget, maintenance budget and developmental budget.
  • To ensure the generation of reports on various activities and also the annual report of the institution.
  • For student discipline and orderly running of the college, for taking all the legal decisions in this regard and take help of the disciplinary committee.
  • For discipline and order among the faculty and staff of the institution.

XI. CRITERIA AND WEIGHTAGES FOR ADMISSION
